To become a Lifesaver you must complete the base award of surf lifesavers, the Bronze Medallion. Doing this award requires you to have a degree of physical fitness, you must be able to swim 400m in under 9 minutes and the commitment to complete approximately 40 hours of training in surf skills, rescue techniques and basic first aid & resuscitation. Our qualified instructors will have you fully trained to become a lifesaver. Anyone who is keen to volunteer their time to patrol our beach will achieve all your awards & reach their physical fitness levels.
