“Story Time”
Scenario – Who is the best competitor ????
There are 3 competitors “Redy”, “Bluey” and “Whitey”.  All train and enjoy the surf and have done for a few years. “Redy” likes competing and training but has never achieved any notable results, but goes in everything, makes up teams whenever asked. Last year “Redy” got a bronze in a Board relay at Branch, first ever medal and was stoked. “Bluey” has got it all, has always been good, a bit of a natural. Obviously trains hard and has a heap of potential. Has won State medals and even represented the Branch and State. Bluey actually dropped out of the “A” team and went in the “C” team at the Branch last year which gave some of the others including “Redy” their first ever medals. “Whitey’s” a pretty good  all-rounder, always up there in the mix but if Whitey is up there and that’s quite often, Whitey throws it in and lets it go and unless Whitey’s in the “A” team he will say he’s not well and just goes in the individual races. Anyway that’s a bit of background.
There was this one carnival , a pretty big testing surf at Port Macquarie and they were all in the same heat of the Board Race. Everyone got hammered on the banks, the sets kept coming and they were getting slammed. 3 got out, “ Bluey” was one, “Redy” and a few others got washed down so far they got out and ran up the beach and tried again and got hammered again. One more got out and Whitey was still on the bank getting smashed. Several competitors gave up or lost their Boards and came in. Redy got washed down the beach again but ran up and went out again. At this point the Referee was watching the time ( it was up to about 11 minutes, they had extended the time to 15 minutes) Bluey came in shattered and just sat on the beach. Redy and 2 others got washed down and ran up the beach and went out again, the Referee asked them if they wanted to continue and they all just kept going, they got hit again and again then there was a lull and the 3 of them just skipped out before another set came. The 3 of them finished, which made the 7 cut off for the next round.
Unfortunately, the next round never happened the surf got bigger and they called off the water events.
This is a true story “NSW Country Title”

WHO DO YOU THINK THE COACH WAS MOST PROUD OF???
WHAT DOES THIS TELL YOU ABOUT DETERMINATION???
WHO ARE YOU “REDY”, “BLUEY” OR “WHITEY”
